Cynnie Gaasch is the founder of Buffalo Moose Group. Gaasch has successfully written, and secured and implemented government grants since she was Executive Director for Chautauqua Center for the Visual Arts beginning in 1999. She consulted for a number of years where she worked with clients: Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Buffalo ReUse, and Buffalo First. She helped ReUse and Buffalo First to build capacity and secured significant early grants for each organization.
Gaasch recently completed her eight-year tenure as Executive Director for Young Audiences WNY in 2017. While at YA, she expanded the budget from $250,000 to $770,000 in 6 years through expansion of grants, relationship development, and long term contracts with Social Services and school districts.
Gaasch’s current and recent projects include:
- Completing a strategic plan for Squeaky Wheel, setting them up for organizational growth and re-visioning how they work with their community;
- Fund development for Ujima Company, including grant writing and supporting a $726,000 capital campaign for a new space they are completing in 2019;
- Select grant writing for Canopy of Neighbors;
- Grant writing for Child & Family Services.
